Good Communication Will (and Must) Continue

Hello clients and friends,

Over the last few days, we have been on the phone with many of our contacts at our client companies, and everyone we have spoken to is in agreement on the following: We are living in challenging, uncertain and rapidly-changing times. There is no denying that. Among the many aspects of our “new normal,” appropriate travel restrictions are being put in place for everyone. Our team at The Latimer Group has also taken necessary steps, and for the short term will be working from home. We are also working with our clients to adjust training and coaching schedules appropriately. In addition to making those critical internal changes, we continue to look outward and over the next few weeks and months will focus on how we can be of service to The Latimer Community.

We believe that the communication needs for you and your organizations remain, and in many ways may be more critical now than ever before. We have long believed that strong communication skills are not a “nice-to-have” soft skill, but rather a “must-have” power skill. This has never been more true than it is right now, as our messages become more time sensitive and critical, and our methods become more remote and virtual.

Therefore, our team is committed to contributing our knowledge and experience to help you and your team continue to operate functionally and effectively. Over the next several weeks we will be hosting a number of free short webinars on a range of communication topics. We will share those details here, and we hope you will be able to find a few minutes to join us from wherever you are doing your work these days.

And of course, we stand ready to support you and your organization in more formal ways via our eLearning, virtual workshop and coaching platforms. We can continue to support you in a variety of ways from afar during this containment period.

These are indeed interesting and challenging times. And we have always taken great pride in the partnerships we have with our clients and friends. Those partnerships have never been more important, and we look forward to supporting you and your organization.

Here’s to calmer days ahead.

The Latimer Group Team

Does your team:
– Take too long to make decision?
– Fail to ask for what it wants or needs from you?
– Make things too complicated?
– Deliver unconvincing or disorganized presentations?
– Have new hires who are unprepared to communicate in the workplace?
