Giving Thanks

This is Thanksgiving week here in the United States, my favorite holiday. Forget for a moment the mythologized origins of the holiday… what I love most about Thanksgiving is the opportunity to pause, take a deep breath, visit with friends and family and give thanks. And it seems to me like this is harder to do in today’s world… things seem to move faster, issues seem bigger, people seem more concerned. I say it and write it all the time. We live in a loud, complicated, fast-paced world. Taking a moment, or a few days, to pause and give thanks seems like a healthy, appropriate and good thing to do.

Personally, I am grateful for my family, my friends, my colleagues, and the opportunity to serve the clients of The Latimer Group. My colleagues and I are grateful for the opportunity to do work that we love, in service to great organizations and great people.

Life may not be perfect, for me, you or anyone else. But regardless, let’s all take a moment to be grateful for the things we have. Look around and enjoy the moment.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
