Things People Never Say, Part 2

We just concluded a long stretch of workshops with several clients, and regardless of company or industry, a few things remain intensely clear to us.

You’ll never regret clarity and simplicity in your communication. People will never tell you “that was too clear,” or “you got to the point too quickly,” or “your message was too organized.” Even in the most technical of situations, people will always appreciate context, clarity, simplicity and brevity.

They will, however, fault you for loading too much into the discussion, and overwhelming them. They will resent a lack of clarity and a lack of context.

How do you achieve these things? You plan and prepare… you figure out who your audience is and what they care about… and you practice.

Be clear. Be brief. Be seated.

Have a great day.
